Why did you choose Trails at Marsh Creek?
We’ve had quite a journey. Initially, we planned to build on a piece of land we owned, thinking it would be a simple process. However, we soon realized there were too many hurdles to overcome, making it more trouble than it was worth. So, we decided to move on and start looking elsewhere. Sarah actually discovered the Keystone neighborhood off Route 3 in Newtown Square, and we went to check out the model home. We instantly fell in love with it. The fact that they were building a neighborhood (Trails at Marsh Creek) in an area close to our friends and family, with our kids’ schools nearby, made it the perfect choice.
Why did you choose Keystone specifically?
One of the things we really liked about Keystone was the attention to detail they put into their work. We had the opportunity to see the process from start to finish, and it was clear that the framing and foundation of the house were really solid.
Why did you choose to build versus buy an existing home?
I think the hardest part of the building process was waiting for the home to be completed. Since we were one of the first families, there were a lot of hiccups—not just with our build, but with the neighborhood as a whole. That’s to be expected with any new development, and we understood that going in, but there were still quite a few setbacks along the way. That part was definitely challenging.
Why did you choose the Devonshire Floorplan?
The Devonshire model really stood out to us because of its open floorplan. From front to back, there’s plenty of room to move around and make the space work for our needs. We especially love the large, open kitchen. This model allows us to host friends and family comfortably, with everyone in the same space. Whether you're in the Family Room, at the kitchen counter, or cooking, it all feels connected, which is something we really love.
Tell us about how you envisioned life in your brand-new home.
When it came to building a new house, we envisioned a home that would support our lives moving forward. We wanted a great location, a place where our kids could grow up, and a home that truly reflected what we were looking for. More than just a house, we wanted to create a space that felt like home.
