How long have you worked at KCH?
I have worked with Keystone Custom Homes for 11 years now.
What does your job entail?
As a Regional Construction Manager, I manage all construction field operations and personnel in my region by implementing and maintaining systems that will ensure all homes are built in accordance with the highest quality and customer satisfaction standards.
What do you like most about your job?
I really enjoy watching a community come together. It is really cool to start with an empty street and then look back and see a community growing. Watching all the different phases of construction is great too, every day there is progress and something new happening!
What would you do for a career if you weren’t doing this?
I was headed to law school before my path diverted to residential construction so I would probably be a lawyer.
What’s a fun fact about you that many people may not know?
I make a couple of quick appearances in a Bon Jovi music video.
How has KCH helped you in your career development?
KCH has provided an environment for us to think freely about overcoming challenges or tweaking our processes. We are encouraged to rethink and come up with solutions for obstacles that many builders just accept as "the way it is". There is a real focus on professional and personal growth. We are constantly trying to improve not only the way we operate as a team but also as individuals.
What advice do you have for prospective candidates?
Be yourself! Your resume does not define who you are, it offers a window into your experience. Keystone is looking for talented people from all backgrounds. If you are professional, customer focused and eager to learn you can overcome any shortfallings you think your resume may have.
What is your favorite Keystone floorplan and why?
The
Nottingham is my favorite. The 2-story Family Room right off the kitchen is a great space. As someone who likes to cook, I think the kitchen has a great flow. You also have the loft options or the ability to do 1st or 2nd-floor Owners Suites!
What is your favorite TV Show Character and why?
Dwight Schrute from the Office because Bears, Beets, Battlestar Galactica...
If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be (& why)?
If I could travel anywhere in the world it would be to the Maldives to relax in an overwater bungalow and do nothing.
