Congratulations to Bryan Bakos on 16 years with Keystone Custom Homes! What is your favorite part about working at Keystone?

One of the things that truly Ignites my passion for working at Keystone is the remarkable trust and confidence the company has installed in me to pursue my true calling: mentoring team members.  It's an incredible feeling to know that Keystone believes in my abilities and encourages me to guide and coach others.  The opportunity to create an environment that is so welcoming and supportive that team members genuinely look forward to coming to work is truly fulfilling. What truly fuels my fire is witnessing the growth, both professionally and personally, of not only the younger team members but also some of the more experienced CMs. To be able to contribute to their development and see them flourish is an unparalleled satisfaction.  Seeing their skills and knowledge expand including witnessing their confidence soar is incredibly rewarding.

Every day, I look forward to watching my team members embrace and navigate through challenges, whether it's a field or client-related concern, the experience of seeing them progress through it is immeasurable.

At Keystone, I have found a place where my passion for mentoring is not only supported but also celebrated, allowing me to make a lasting and positive impact on the lives and careers around me.

What is your favorite stage of construction and why? 

For me, the framing stage of construction holds a special place in my heart.  It is during this phase that the true essence of the home starts to take shape, as the skeleton or "Bones" of the structure are built.  The framing stage set the foundation for everything that follows, and if done correctly, it lays the groundwork for a home that can withstand the test of time.

What is one thing that KCH does differently in our builds that sets us apart from the competition?

KCH stands out from the competition by prioritizing continuous innovation and adaptability.   We understand the importance of keeping our products, processes, and image relevant with the changing times.  By consistently updating and innovating our offerings, we ensure that we do not become just another builder following the same old routine.

In addition to product innovation, we also focus on refining our processes.  We recognize that efficiency and effectiveness are crucial in today's market and fast-paced environment, we streamline our workflows and optimize our operations.  

Moreover, we understand the significance of maintaining a modern and appealing image by investing in branding, design, and marketing strategies that resonate with our target audience.

 What is your favorite floorplan to build?

Without a doubt, my favorite plan is the Augusta. The very name evokes a sense of grandeur and elegance, reminiscent of a majestic place. One of the standout features of the Augusta is its perfect balance in size. It is not overly spacious, which makes it ideal for cleaning purposes and ensures that every corner of the home can be easily maintained.  At the same time, it's not too small either, provoking ample room for the family to move around and have their own space.

What I appreciate the most about the Augusta is its forward-thinking design. It takes into consideration the needs of both in the present and future by having the Owner's Suite on the main floor, as it allows for easy accessibility, particularly as we age.

In fact, I'm so passionate about the Augusta that I decided to make it my own and build one for my family.

Fun fact about you! 

Well, one fun fact about me is that I taught both of my boys how to play chess when they were just 5 years old.  I strongly believe that chess is not only a game but is an excellent tool for developing forward-thinking and strategic skills, which can assist them in navigating through life's challenges.
